Until a year ago, I never had the need for criminal attorney. I was charged with Refusal, DUI, and Reckless Driving. Based on five phone interviews with potential attorneys, I was told in the end I would be convicted of either DUI or Refusal. However, Kyle provided a good argument for an approach for both the Refusal and DUI charges to be dismissed. Since I provided no statements, performed no roadside maneuvers, and provided no evidence by the breathalyzer, Kyle's approach would be to show that the arrest in the first place was without basis. In this way, the refusal and DUI should be dismissed. Kyle stated we would probably go to trial. This argument combined with Kyle's previous experience as a Commonwealth Attorney was enough for me to give it a shot with Kyle. My best hopes were for outcomes as a 'wet' reckless, so I pre-enrolled in ASAP [on the advice of another lawyer]. Not only did we not go to trial, but the final outcome based on Kyle's outstanding legal skills and knowledge of Virginia Commonwealth Attorneys and trial judges was a reckless, without ASAP requirements. I was charged with reckless driving in Fairfax city in December 2010. After consulting numerous lawyers I decided to go ahead with Mr. Manikas. I couldn't afford to have a class I misdemeanor me on my right and Mr. Manikas helped me get that reduced to a speeding ticket.
