I enjoy working with clients in the criminal defense area because ultimately I like to work with real people with real problems. I think it's much more rewarding for an individual to come in, sit down with me, tell me what has happened, and for me to be able to give them legal advice based upon my years as a prosecutor and my work as a defense attorney.
The feedback that I have received from past clients has been very favorable. And it is extremely important to me that I receive positive feedback from my clients. It's important to me that every client walks away happy with the services and happy with the result.
My clients recognize that I immerse myself in the facts of their case. For my clients it's one of the most stressful and anxious times in their life. And so I think it's very important for the communication lines to be open. I think if they have an understanding of their case and the legal issues and the defenses that we intend to present, that helps manage their anxiety and stress.
Unlike many lawyers in law firms, I don't look at the practice of law as a business. I look at the practice of law as a profession that at its core is about helping people solve the problems that they've come to me with. And it's something I take great pride in.
